"CranioSacral Therapy (CST) strengthens your body’s ability to take better care of you."  --The Upledger Institute http://www.upledger.com/home.htm

Hello I am Vera Antoinette McEwen I own and operate Be Well CST, LLC.  I am a CranioSacral Therapist.  At Be Well CST, we use proven CranioSacral Therapy techniques to assist the natural healing process promoting health and wellness.  We understand the you are a physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, and social being, therefore; we find it necessary to encourage treatments within and outside of CranioSacral therapy.

At Be Well, CST LLC we fully embrace Dr. John Upledger's CranioSacral Therapy design and philosophies.

"CranioSacral Therapy (and it's offshoots), as well as several other "alternative" or complementary healthcare approaches, look at the body quite differently from conventional Western medicine.  The puzzle presented by a dysfunctioning body requires that mind and spirit also be studied so that the complete puzzle can be investigated.  Rather than invasively modifying the pieces of the puzzle and trying to make them fit according to the concepts of the physician or therapist, the puzzle pieces are studied with an attitude that honors the intelligence and intent of the "Grand Designer".  In this, approach, the healthcare provider studies the pieces and helps them to reintegrate as the design was intended.  Thus the patients heal themselves, with the physician or therapist attending only as facilitator.  As facilitators we will communicate with the cells, tissues, organs, and the total body, mind and spirit of the whole person.  We will establish rapport with the individual consciousnesses of all of the components of the being.  We will humbly discuss dysfunctions and their effects as they're visible to us as facilitators.  And we will attempt to help formulate plans that will move the whole person to a higher level of wellness." Dr. John Upledger

What is CranioSacral Therapy?

CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle light-touch form of hands-on therapy that can:

• relieve your body of pain, illness, and malaise, so that your body can rejuvenate
• release tensions deep in the body, so that your body can be resilient and strong
• reduce the affects of stress on your body, so that your body resists disease naturally

The membranes, soft tissues, bones and fluid that surround the brain and spinal cord make up the CranioSacral system. The CranioSacral system:

• has a strong influence over your health and well-being
• controls the internal environment of the brain and spinal cord
• regulates the pressure of cerebrospinal fluid

The regulation of cerebrospinal fluid generates the CranioSacral rhythm. The CranioSacral rhythm:

• rises and falls rhythmically every 6 to 12 seconds
• can be palpated anywhere on the body
• is the assessment tool that forms the basis of CranioSacral Therapy
• provides therapists with the information needed to locate restrictions and areas of abnormal tension, and facilitate their release

"The CranioSacral therapist works on the body from the core outwards, rather than starting at the periphery and working in.” Tim Hutton, PhD, CST-D

"Vera was born to heal and nourish those in need. I have worked with Vera in the technology industry for 7 years, and throughout this period I have witnessed her empathy for others, her intuitive ability to identify a team mate who is suffering, and her selfless and subtle approach to suggesting well-researched remedial behaviors or lifestyle changes.  Vera educated herself in the healing arts while excelling in a professional position and raising her beautiful daughter. She is now doing what she was put on this earth to do.

I have been touched by Vera's re-telling of the occasions where she has been able to reduce her daughter's dangerous fevers through application of her non-invasive cranial-sacral therapy skills. I have been soothed physically and mended spiritually by Vera's God-given talents.  Be Well is Vera's mantra and the name of her practice. Stop by her welcoming office in the historical district of downtown Vancouver, and Be Well." --Mark Blackwell

" ..when I had the session I experienced complete relief from the tension headaches. I truly felt "aligned" and rejuvenated." --Sharon Madsen

"Vera – I walked in with a sinus headache, told you I was fine, and during the session my headache disappeared and has been gone ever since.  Typically I wake up every day with a sinus headache especially when the weather changes from sunny to rainy, I have not had any headaches since I last saw you.  In addition, I feel great! I look forward to our next session.  Thanks for allowing me to be a part of the testimonials; I could be a walking advertisement for you."  --Sharon Armstrong

My ankle pain is gone!  A stress fracture left me with chronic pain in my ankle that I never thought would go away.  At the end of one session (during which I fell asleep), I woke up and the pain was gone. I have no idea what you did, but I have been running pain free for over a year.  Thank you! - Laurie Ebner
